Be Inspired ...

Doubts are good. They can be motivators.

A healthy mind continues to probe and wonder.

Doubting shows you’re pursuing truth.

The  Christian teacher Oswald Chambers once said, “Doubt is not always a sign that a man is wrong; it may be a sign that he is thinking.

Thomas must have been a curious kid. Earlier in John, Thomas asks Jesus, ‘how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth* and the life. Jn 14:6. Now in this week’s gospel he won’t believe it until he sees it. "Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger into the nail marks and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." Jn 20:25

God wants us to critically think, purse truth, and have doubts.

We may not have perfect faith because we are not perfect.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD
.” Is 55:8-9

John’s gospel is an invitation to all doubters, the same as to Thomas; investigate for yourself! “Come here, place your hand in my side.” Test the evidence, and, like Thomas, be not faithless but believing.
