There are shepherds and then, there are shepherds.
‘Woe to the shepherds who mislead and scatter the flock of my pasture. You have not cared for them’,
The apostles had been working hard. Jesus sends them on vacation, to an island to rest.
But it wasn’t to be. The people found out and got to the island before they dd. They were waiting for them.
Jesus ‘saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them,
for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.’
