Roof Repair 2023
During this time of the year, I undertake small projects to fix some of the issues of our church as well as school building. Over the years, we have maintained our facility with your support and donations. For more than 68 years, the people of St. Pius X Parish have faithfully served our community.
Through prayer, sacraments, and evangelization, our parish has formed disciples after the heart of Jesus Christ. Whenever there is a need, this parish is known for rising to the challenge with outpourings of love, support, and generosity.
Today, I come to you on such an occasion. The Roof on our St. Pius X Rectory Building (Priest residence) and parish office are near their lifespan and also the chimney on our school building need quick attention and we need your help to repair them, as they pose a major safety concern due to excessive water leaks during inclement weather.
I know these past two years have been extremely difficult. The incredible hardships of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the current state of the economy have caused much anxiety and uncertainty across our community. Despite this, however, the safety of our tenant (Day Care Center and children) and rectory staff are paramount. So I am asking each one of you to prayerfully consider how you can help contribute financially to pay for this urgent roof and chimney repairs. I expect the cost will be around $85,000.
