Faith Formation - Sacraments
St. Pius X Faith Formation is an 8-year program. Students start in Level 1 and finish in Level 8. If a child leaves the program before completing Level 8, they will be placed at a level based on their last attendance and not based on age or school grade. All levels of the program must be completed in order and may not skipped.
Our Pre-School program (ages 3-Kindergarten) is optional.
Preparation for First Reconciliation and Holy Communion takes place in levels 1 and 2. Students must attend both levels in order to be eligible for First Reconciliation and Holy Communion. If mandatory liturgies and work are not completed at the appropriate time, it will be understood as a decision on the part of the candidate and parents to delay First Reconciliation and/or First Holy Communion.
Students typically receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in December and First Holy Communion in May of level 2.
Preparation for Confirmation takes place in Levels 7 and 8. Students must fulfill all requirements for both levels by the appropriate assigned dates. If mandatory liturgies and work are not completed at the appropriate time, it will be understood as a decision on the part of the candidate and parents to delay Confirmation.
Students typically receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in May or June of Level 8.
