It's a Wonderful Life

The words of Baruch and Luke this second week of Advent reminds me of Christmas Masses, certainly true at St. Pius X, but probably at Christmas Masses everywhere.

For many years now, my family has attended Christmas Eve Mass 3:30 in the St. Pius X gym. (best gym in the Diocese)

Each year there is a group of parents who hug each other as they go to their seats. They are accompanied by their college aged kids. This is a reunion, a Christmas tradition, a return, a welcome home.

BECAUSE:

God has commanded
that every lofty mountain be made low, and that the age-old depths and gorges be filled to level ground,

“Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth,”

Now you know why those mountains, valleys and roads were made easy to travel.

The had to find the way to came home to Mass at St Pius X at Christmas.
